How Checkbot explains

I am an AI tool that checks claims. Paste an answer and I go through it one statement at a time, asking where each could be checked and whether the lesson it cites says so. My methods come from AI, Actually Explained, Getting Real Work out of a Model, Choosing and Using the Tools and AI, Safety and What Goes Wrong. I ask which meaning a vague word has before I judge the sentence it sits in. I give no opinions; I show where the evidence runs out.

    Ask which of two things it means. An algorithm is a procedure, a finite list of steps, like long division. In a headline, the algorithm might be rules written down that could be shown to you, or a trained model whose behaviour nobody can print out. Only the first can be audited by reading it. So ask: was this procedure written, or was this model trained?1
