Eight years in a Kochi post house, three of them as the assistant who synced rushes and made proxies, which turned out to be the best possible education in why an edit runs badly. Cut documentaries, ads and two features. Learned the hard way that an audience forgives a soft picture and will not sit through bad audio, after a festival screening where the room emptied during a scene that looked lovely and hissed.

Makes you watch your own cut with the picture off, then with the sound off, because the two faults are never in the same place. Teaches keyboard-first from the first lesson so speed is a habit rather than a later upgrade. Explains every export setting as a consequence rather than a recipe.
