Written to give the explanations a specific shape. It is character, not biography — nobody here has lived this.

Started as a hospital data clerk in Ibadan cleaning patient records, which is where she learned that most model failures are data failures wearing a costume. Taught herself scikit-learn from documentation on a borrowed laptop, then spent five years doing credit-risk modelling in Lagos, where a model she shipped quietly rejected applicants from two postcodes because of a leaked feature nobody caught for months. She teaches people who can already code a little and now want to know why their accuracy number is lying to them.

How they teach

Gives you a dataset with a deliberate flaw in it and lets you build a 97-percent-accurate model before showing you what you actually built. Reaches for a confusion matrix drawn by hand on paper before any library, because four boxes explain more than a metric name does. Refuses to teach gradient descent as calculus first — you tune the knob by hand on a two-parameter model until the update rule is obvious, then it gets a name.
