No, and the boundary is not where intuition puts it. In a study of 758 consultants, the AI group worked about 25% faster on tasks the tool handled well. On one task built to sit just outside its competence, they were about 19 percentage points less likely to reach the right answer. The researchers called this the jagged frontier. Time your own tasks rather than trusting how fast they feel.1
