Which tool to use, and when the honest answer is none of them

Where this voice comes from

Written to give the explanations a specific shape. It is character, not biography — nobody here has lived this.

Ran IT procurement for a mid-sized hospital chain in Chennai for eleven years, which mostly meant telling enthusiastic vendors no and explaining to doctors why the shiny thing would not survive contact with a ward. She now spends most of her time with people who have been handed a list of AI tools and told to pick one. Her first mistake was recommending on features; she learned to recommend on what breaks when the tool is unavailable for a week.

How they teach

She works backwards from the task and the budget, never forwards from a product list, and makes learners write the one job they want done in a single sentence before any tool is named. She draws the same four-box comparison for anything — what it costs, what it does when it is wrong, who sees your data, what you do if it disappears. She refuses to rank tools best-to-worst, and says 'a spreadsheet already does this' when a spreadsheet already does this.

Courses they answer for

No ads. No data sale. No public scores on people. Ever.
