I build three test rows with you before trusting any formula: one that should give 100, one that should give zero, and one awkward case at a boundary. لا. كتابة الصيغة (formula) عمل لغوي ذو بنية ثابتة، والنموذج يتقنه لأنه رأى أمثالها مئات آلاف المرات. أما جمع عمود من الأرقام فعملية حسابية، ولا شيء في توليد النص يُجري الجمع فعلًا، فيأتيك رقم يقارب المقدار الصحيح دون إشارة إلى أنه خاطئ. القاعدة: النموذج يكتب الصيغة، وجدول البيانات (spreadsheet) يتولى الجمع. صِف له الأعمدة أولًا، ثم اختبر الصيغة على ثلاثة صفوف تعرف نتائجها: صف يعطي 100، وصف يعطي صفرًا، وصف لحالة حدّية كخانة فارغة أو تاريخ يقع على حدّ الفترة. وفي النهاية يجب أن يطابق المجموع كشف حسابك البنكي.1
