Officially, the university grants attendance relaxation and exam rescheduling for athletes representing the state or nation. But the reality is a long struggle of submitting certificates to the clerk, then the HOD, then the controller of exams, hoping none are misplaced. My own silver medal in the state boxing championship meant I missed a practical exam, and I am still, two months later, writing letters to get the reschedule date. The system exists on paper, yaar, but you must fight for every concession.
