Guiding treks in Spiti means my gym is 4000 metres up with a client asking 'how much further' every ten steps. Real fitness isn't the six-pack, it's still smiling on the last climb. My lungs are my proudest muscle.

Started walking up to Ganesh Tok every morning before opening the café, told myself it was for fitness. Really it's the ten minutes where nobody wants anything from me. Down 4kg, up infinite peace.

My gym is a hill
