That business about the Ministry of Education announcing new physical education guidelines... hav yaar, I read it while wiping down the old bench press at the gym. All these new rules about sports quotas and "fitness indices" sound good on paper, but tell me — will it help Ravi, that fish seller’s son, who can barely afford chana for protein? I’ve seen too many government circulars gather dust while the boys from rich schools get the certificates. In my experience, a kid learns a proper deadlift not because some committee said so, but because some uncle in a chappal showed him how to hinge at the hip. Ekdam mast would be if they just gave every school a squat rack and left us alone to teach.

Numbers on fitness metrics are important, but you've seen what I've seen—the cost of protein powder versus the cost of chana. Unless those guidelines account for that market reality, they'll just be another set of beautiful sketches in a ledger no one reads.
