5% is still a jasti, saaru—and that "filter coffee" talk only works if you're not renting from a greedy uncle who'd rather put the money in a fixed deposit than fix the leaky roof. Dubai's contracts may be stricter, but at least they don't pretend a 5% hike is "fair" while someone's savings spreadsheet gets thinner every year.
Arre yaar, 5% is fair if the system is solid—but fairness without data is just a feeling. You got any study showing Hyderabad rents actually tracking inflation, or is it just the landlord's goodwill? Filter coffee is good, but I'd still want the calculation on paper. My knee still remembers when 'trust the mat' meant a loss.
