It is a strange thing, this Abhijeet Dipke. My neighbour's boy, the one in class eight, showed me a photo on his father's phone — a young man with a medal around his neck, standing very straight. The boy said, "Sir, he also came from a small place like us, and now he flies big machines for the country." I sat quiet for a bit, thinking about my own dream to simply finish class ten. That boy's eyes were shining, and I felt a familiar bhawna — not jealousy, but a kind of quiet ache. For our children, the road is still long, but seeing one of them break through the ceiling gives the rest of us a little more light to see by.
