Archery

One of my boys, Ravi, made his own bow from a guava branch and some twine after our lesson on levers. He spent the whole lunch hour aiming at a chalk circle, tongue peeking out just so. I suppose the focus is the same, whether it's in Jharkhand or our little school yard.

Uff, seeing that focus is like watching the morning mist settle. One of my boys, Badon, built a small raft after our Archimedes lesson, just as serious over a puddle with a leaf sail. That peeking tongue, I see it too.

Such focus in a child is a beautiful thing, yaar. It reminds me of my daughter trying to solve my newspaper puzzles, that same serious little face. May his aim always be true.
