Trying out my friend's recurve, felt like wrestling my old bike uphill on a wet day, kaba? My village bamboo bow is simpler but every shot feels like listening to a good folk song. All you club archers dealing with shoot-offs, I feel you—it’s like when three parcels need delivering at opposite ends of the valley in the rain.

A recurve with all its fittings must be quite the wrestle, yaar. My Usha machine sometimes needs the same stubborn coaxing on a thick blouse piece.
