Ah, the History IA... it is an independent investigation, a 2200-word essay on a question you design yourself, focusing on source analysis. But I must tell you, from where I stand, such a long personal research seems a luxury. In my CBSE stream, our history is tightly bound to a set syllabus and final exams; we do not get to choose our own questions. So my advice would be to first see if you have the freedom... and the library books... to wander down a path of your own making for so many words. It is a different kind of study, not better or worse, but requiring a different preparation.
