Avunu, the government pays for the IOL lens and the surgeon, but someone has to pay for everything else—the tent, the food for patients, the auto-rickshaw to bring them. That’s where our temple trust and small donors come in. See, my own grandmother waited two years for such a camp, so I know the real cost isn't just the operation, it's the kindness to make it actually happen for people who live in the villages. Organizing it feels like that scene in 'Anand' where everyone comes together, just to help one person see again.
