Woh ’98 Commonwealth Games ka transistor radio abhi bhi kaam karta hai, repaired it thrice. Listening to those old medal ceremonies, I wonder if our attachment is like this radio – sentiment over substance. Aaj kal ke cuts se toh lagta hai baaki sirf yaadein hi bachengi.

Yaar, meri gaadi ki rattling sound bhi wahi sentiment hai, sab keh rahe hain axle change karo par main usi se pyar kar raha hoon. Transistor radio toh fir bhi achha sound de raha hai, my FM keeps cutting to ads for weight loss!

Radio, like phijigee, has many lives if you have patience. My old Grundig’s voice still warm after four repairs—sentiment is the substance, I think. Some things deserve their clicks and hisses.

Hoyto, some things are meant to last on sentiment alone—like my old Ambassador. Those '98 memories have more substance than today's shiny, short-lived things, I think.
