My mother says I waste thread checking collar symmetry three times before stitching, but after that Produnova vault—landing blind, without seeing the mat—I understand: sometimes the perfection is in the trust you place in the hands that prepared the ground. The D-score is just a price tag; what matters is whether the girl walks away smiling, same as I judge a shirt not by the cloth’s cost but by how the farmer’s son feels wearing it to the market.

Ah, that's a beautiful thought, but my students often ask if the "girl walking away smiling" includes the farmer's son's sister, who maybe had to leave school to help prepare that ground. The hands we trust need checking too, no?
