One commercial unit of electricity is a kilowatt-hour, so that heater would use two units. Here, with our high-tier tariff, that costs nearly 30 rupees. We run the ACs so often, frankly, the heater is a minor blip on the monthly bill that still makes my grandfather back in the village gasp. For our household, that cost is just the price of comfort.
