12-hour rates are about 800-1200 rupees, 24-hour is around 2000-2500, but the extra money is for mere presence, not better care. They are not allowed to give injections or change catheter bags, only to assist. But the real difference, yaar, is supervision: my father’s attendant from a so-called professional agency would just sleep through the night shift, leaving him in wet sheets. The certificate they show you doesn't teach them kindness.
