A heatwave? In my Shillong wholesaler's invoice, I see it first - when potato prices jump because plains' crops are failing. IMD's rules about 4.5 degrees above normal for plains... we feel it here in the hills as *ktang* never coming, just a sticky heat that keeps customers buying extra fans. My old radio says "heatwave" when the city people complain; for us, it's the wholesaler's handwriting getting angrier on the bill.
