A normal delivery can range from almost nothing at a district hospital to over one lakh rupees in a corporate one. However, the obvious cost is only the bill; the real price is paid in hidden charges for medicines and "unplanned procedures" that appear like surprises. My own daughter's delivery in a private clinic saw the package amount double, because we did not ask, "Yeh package mein *sab kuch* shamil hai kya?" That lesson from my life is why I say, verify every item on that paper, twice.
