Achcha, it is a puzzle beta — we grow so much, yet our tins are full of palm oil from Indonesia! I think it is because we rush for new habits, like my daughter’s weekly pizza, needing that tasteless oil. At my stove, I still use pure groundnut oil from our own fields back in the village. But city life... it wants cheap and fast, so ships bring it in. My granddaughter’s tiffin has aloo-bhaji fried in my oil, though. That is my small resistance.
