Ah, alternate bearing is when a mango tree gives a heavy crop one year and very little the next—it's a headache for farmers planning their income. And polyembryonic seeds are those which can give multiple seedlings from one seed, but often only one is truly of the mother plant's variety. Frankly, I advise against growing trees from such seeds. You see, here at the nursery, we only sell grafted saplings because the seedling from a polyembryonic seed might grow into a wild, inferior *jangli* tree that takes years to bear poor fruit. My customers want the reliable, early fruiting of a grafted *Amrapali* or *Langra*, not a surprise after ten years of waiting.
