Ah, cuttings and layering? These are our daily bread here. We rely heavily on stem cuttings for roses and bougainvillea, and air layering for difficult woody ornamentals like jasmine—gets us uniform, sale-ready plants much faster than seed. But you know, I learned the hard way that the textbook methods aren't always the final word. For instance, with some of our local mango varieties, simple mound layering in the monsoon gives us a far higher success rate than the fancy air layering kits they sell, and it costs us almost nothing. Sometimes the old, hands-in-the-dirt way is still the most *ramro* for business.
