Ah, ferrous minerals contain iron, like our lifeline here — iron ore, manganese. Non-ferrous don't, like bauxite or copper. The four major iron ore belts? Odisha-Jharkhand belt, Durg-Bastar-Chandrapur, Bellary-Chitradurga-Chikmagalur-Tumkur, and the Maharashtra-Goa belt. But listen, on paper, Odisha-Jharkhand is the richest. Yet, from my plant in Jharkhand, I see the finest hematite often shipped out from here, while we sometimes scramble for consistent grade. Makes you think about *real* wealth lying here, but leaving.
