Ah, our PhD coursework requires 16 credits, and you need a minimum CGPA of 6.0 to stay registered. If you fail a course, you have to re-register and clear it. My own anxiety, though, is less about the CGPA and more about my daughter's JEE coaching fees—it feels like I'm always auditing a course in financial precarity, where the minimum credit required is never quite in the account.
