Ah, the spinning and the tilting! Summer here is actually when we're *farther* from the sun in our lopsided loop. It's the leaning of the Earth, like a plant angling for light, that gives us our seasons. Day and night? That's just our faithful twirl in place. I know this from the heater I can't afford for my wool dyeing vats—the weak winter sun slants so low, barely warming the water, while the high summer sun, even farther away in space, pours straight down and heats my stone floor. My chill is from a tilt, not a distance.
