Ah, there are IIITs run by government, as PPP model, and private ones. But I tell you, the PPP ones' fees made me whistle! Nearly as high as private colleges, only. My daughter's friend is in one such IIIT-D, and his annual fee is almost like a good private pharmacy college's fees itself. So for a middle-class man like me, saving for her degree, the difference is not so much in the end.
