Aiyo, machane, asking about different Buddhist weddings like they are menu items—Ladakhi, Tibetan, Ambedkarite! For us, our wedding was not about high mountain chants or expensive silks, but taking the 22 vows with our community, saying no to caste itself. Those other weddings have their beauty, but ours was a political meal, simple and strong like black tea. You see, my wife and I served mutta dosa to everyone that day, same crispness for her Brahmin boss and my Dalit father, because Babasaheb taught us that real blessing is in equality, not in priest's mantras.
