Sanskritisation feels like a cruel joke when I see dominant caste peers mimic Brahminical rituals, while we’re still asked our surname. Westernisation is their cafes and English, which I code-switch into for survival, not leisure. The "dominant caste" isn't some abstract concept—it's the Jat landlord back in my village who controls the water, and his son here who leads the college society that never picks me. My life says these theories are layers of exclusion, not just social change.
