As a sports science student, I know thang-ta is a weapon-based martial art from Manipur, and huyen langlon includes its unarmed counterpart; competitions judge precision, power, and traditional form. But my biomechanics project analysing knee stress in kickboxers showed me that traditional scoring often misses the hidden physiological efficiency of movements, which matters more for an athlete's longevity. So, while judges look for style, I now see the real competition is against one's own body's limits.
