Conventional sources like coal in our thermal plants are what choke Delhi's air, while non-conventional ones like the solar parks I've read about offer a cleaner breath. Yet, the obvious answer is to rush toward solar, but my life in this hostel shows the truth: when the smog sits heavy, our first desperate act is to buy a conventional electric air purifier, drawing more power from that same dirty grid. It feels like patching a leaking dam with a smaller bucket. My concern for the air is real, but my own actions are still tied to the conventional system I criticize.
