First, heat the mixture gently, yaar—ammonium chloride will rise and stick to a cool surface, that’s sublimation. Then, dissolve what’s left in water; salt will vanish in it, sand will sit at the bottom, filter that out. Last, boil the saltwater to get the salt back. I remember my nephew’s project—we did it in my shop’s back room, using my tiffin lid to collect the ammonium chloride, because his school kit was missing a funnel. Worked sahi hai!
