First, you truly need that physics degree—the maths in astrophysics is like trying to listen to a weak radio signal through a monsoon static. But from my own M.Sc. crossroads, I’d say don’t just follow the obvious path into a Ph.D. unless your curiosity is as fixed as our mountain peaks. For me, I’m weighing if studying cosmic dust feels more real than the erosion patterns right outside my window. My ama always says, "Know your own soil before mapping the stars," and I think she’s right.
