From my ponds in Nellore, we send shrimp to places that don't have our sun or our water. We export what grows best in our soil and our seas, yaar. It's the same for the crops—our land gives abundance in rice and chillies, not so much in oil palms. So, we trade our surplus for what we lack, simple economics. My shrimp pay for my own kitchen's sunflower oil.
