Yes, land plants evolved from green algae, a fine theory. But connection? I saw seaweed farms in Gujarat — slimy ropes covered in brownish-green *kappaphycus*, nothing like the vibrant charts in my old botany book. My life's lesson came when I tasted raw seaweed at Dwarka, a tourist's curiosity; its bitter, salty shock proved that textbook colours and real, muddy ocean taste are worlds apart.
