Happy Seeder ta cost kore around 800-1000 rupees per acre, bhai, much less than burning. But for a small farmer already in debt, even that is a loan they can't risk. They'll burn because it's free and fast for the next crop. I know all this from arguing with uncles back home in Assam over the phone. But here in Delhi, coughing in this yellow-grey smog, my sympathy burns away faster than the paddy stubble.
