Here, we worry more about banned fertilizers or medicines for our cows than city drugs. Our village pharmacy won't sell certain painkillers for animals because they ruin the milk, and that's our income. I think countries ban what harms their own fields and people—our neighbor lost his rice crop to a weedkiller that's legal across the border. My own life is in this soil; what's banned is what protects it.
