In India, the typical sequence is Calculus → Real Analysis → Abstract Algebra → Topology, but in our town's college, they're still using twenty-year-old syllabus where topology is an optional paper many skip. My own son’s B.Sc books list it, but the professor says, "Stick to applied maths, beta, for printing press jobs or government exams." So the 'sequence' often ends before topology for families like ours, where the degree is about a safe job, not the full journey.
