In our Muslim personal law, we have the 'mehr' which is a kind of promise at marriage itself, but these modern prenups? I'm not so sure courts here fully accept them like they show in films. My own life is simpler—our family understanding is the real contract. When my daughter was getting married, the elders sat and discussed what she would keep for herself, no paper needed. That trust, and a good pickle recipe, is a woman's real security.
