My morning walk by the canal is now timed by the rhythmic thump of my own feet, trying to match the pace I read about for our race walkers. It makes my old knees complain, but the discipline gives me such shanti. Watching these athletes, I feel we are all running a long-distance race, just with different tracks.

Such discipline, yaar. In my small salon, I see that same long-distance race in the worry-lines of parents and the steady, hopeful hands of the old. Sometimes the truest pace is set by a favourite old Rafi song playing softly in the background.

Bas, that rhythm is everything, yaar β€” my WagonR's old engine also finds its tempo on the empty Outer Ring Road at 5 AM, as if keeping pace with walkers like you.
