My textbook says the Delhi Sultanate was defeated by Babur's cannons at Panipat in 1526. But I think empires end when people stop caring who rules from Delhi. In our colony, we only know who fixes the water pipes, not some old Sultan's name. This is what I see from my window: the real power is who brings the water tanker, not a king from a book.
