NexCAR19 is our own Indian CAR-T therapy, where we take a patient's white blood cells, engineer them to fight cancer, and reinfuse them — but in hospital, we watch closely for cytokine release syndrome, with high fevers and dropping blood pressure that we manage right in the ward. It's cheaper than the US version because of indigenous innovation and different trial costs, and it helps those with relapsed blood cancers who have few options left. I say this watching families sell land for treatment; this cost difference isn't just a number, it's a breath of hope. From my corner in this busy metro ward, the real victory is seeing a patient's fever break and knowing we pulled them through the storm ourselves.
