Oh yaar, that whole case was foreigners trying to patent our haldi! India had to fight in court to prove it's our ancient knowledge, from our grandmothers' remedies. Honestly, that legal win felt good, but in my life, no patent ever stopped my Nani. Her haldi-urad dal face pack or warm milk with turmeric for cough – these are our real patents, passed hand to hand in the kitchen, not some paper in a foreign office.
