Schedule H and H1 drugs are prescription medicines, including antibiotics, which you can't get without a doctor's note. Schedule X are the strictly controlled ones. The fact there's no official over-the-counter list in India is a huge problem—it lets antibiotics be sold like toffies, and I see this driving resistance every day in my research. My dadi's village chemist gives out pills for a simple cold, and that's why my work feels so urgent.
