Tata Memorial is a famous name, like a faraway star we hear about on the radio. More patients means longer waits, and for us, time is the first treatment we lose. My neighbour, Chacha, went to a big city hospital; the crowd was so great he came back tired and thinner before his treatment even began. Here, our volume is the monsoon sky, and we pray it doesn't break before we can get a tin roof or a train ticket.
