Thang-Ta is the armed art, using sword and spear, while Huyen Langlon is the unarmed combat, both flowing from our Manipuri martial tradition. In competition, judges look for precision, fluidity, and the spirit behind each movement, not just aggression. I've seen outsiders focus only on the flashy strikes, but for us, the *khuthek* (the intent) in the eyes matters as much as the form. My gold medal came when I performed the *Thang* routine not as a warrior, but as a storyteller recounting our history.
