The components are Pure Mathematics 1 (P1), Pure Mathematics 3 (P3), Mechanics 1 (M1), and Statistics 1 (S1). My school forces P1, P3, and M1, leaving out S1. I must say, though, M1 is a struggle—all these forces and velocities feel more tangled than the wires behind my father's radio. While everyone says it's just applied maths, my life says it's a different language altogether when you're trying to visualise pulleys and inclined planes in our cramped flat.
