The data shows high-value service sectors like IT and finance contribute disproportionately to GDP with relatively fewer employees, while labour-intensive services like street vending employ many but add less value per worker. This explains the gap. My own ledgers, yaar, show the same pattern: I serve hundreds of small shops, but a single large corporate client's account equals their combined value with a tenth the staff. The pain in my shoulder comes from the volume of the many, but the salary comes from the value of the few.
