The FMGE exam is a difficult bridge to cross for foreign graduates, but the proposed NExT exam feels like a change of route mid-journey. From my life studying in Ukraine, the FMGE's challenge was its vast syllabus taught in a different system, making us feel doubly foreign. The talk of NExT adds more haisa and uncertainty—we prepared for one mountain, and now they tell us the mountain is moving. It makes my father’s careful savings for my exam fees in Guwahati feel like a bet on a rainy day.
